Overall Scope:
The Supervisor, Manufacturing supervises and coordinates employees and processes to meet internal and external customer needs. Provides visual management tools and supports continual improvement measures. Effectively manages and supports operational activities in accordance with company policy and procedure. Assures that the appropriate materials, tooling, visual management tools, equipment, and supervision are provided to the work areas.

Accountabilities:
Efficiently and effectively assist with the satisfactory completion and administration of the following items to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor the quality of the employees' work and provide any needed assistance to ensure the quality of the products and the safety of the employees.
• Assure proper management of all production shifts and employees.
• Coordinate manufacturing needs with other departments and support them in attaining the company's mission of customer satisfaction.
• Assure proper monitoring and compliance of employees to OPW policies.
• Assure the training needed is provided to employees.
• Provide visual management tools and increase visual management in shop.
• Work to improve inventory management by WIP Completing parts in the system promptly, working with the material handler to sustain accuracy of the Gate area, checking BOMs for any discrepancies, improving Complete locations and backflush locations in the system, and counting parts to check the system as needed.
• Support and supply continual improvement procedures to improve the efficiency of the area.
• Work to improve 5S in the factory.
• Other activities as needed.
Experience/Qualifications:
• 5 + years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5 + years' experience as a line leader or supervisor in manufacturing and/or quality in a manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of ERP and support systems as it relates to accountabilities.
• Experience in dealing with various skill sets within a production climate. This includes, but is not limited to, assemblers, machinists, maintenance, material handlers, and team/group leaders.
• A proven track record within key functional areas with measurements of on-time production, order completion, machine/equipment maintenance, material flow, supply chain, and production efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or business-related field. Relative experience will be considered in place of a degree.
• Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma training are preferred.
• Must be able to use required PPE.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to work in weather extremes
• Must be able to stand/walk throughout the shift
• Must be able to wear required PPE
• Must be able to work overtime based on business needs
