About The Role

FTI Financial Services Practice focuses on advising banks and financial institutions across all stages of the business cycle, as well as within an evolving operational, competitive, and regulatory landscape. FTI Consulting's experts partner with clients to develop and execute strategy, manage risk, improve financial and operational performance, ensure compliance, respond to regulatory inquiries, address enforcement actions and litigation risks, and optimize the use of assets to protect and enhance enterprise value.

As part of our global Financial Services practice, you will be expected to work across the spectrum of challenges facing banks, credit unions, non-bank financial institutions, FinTechs and advise industrial and retail clients on leveraging financial service capabilities and adapt to emerging threats. FTI's Payment practice focuses on advising clients on strategy & innovation, fraud & financial crimes, payment operations, payment processing, and risk & regulatory challenges and response.

As a Senior Director in our Payments Practice, you'll be serving a wide range of clients from mid-market players to large, global payments firms. Payments are core to the financial service industry and you be s advising firms across the payments ecosystem on improving performance, reducing risk, conducting investigations, and driving strategic growth.

FTI's Payment practice focuses on advising clients on strategy & innovation, fraud & financial crimes, payment operations, payment processing, and risk & regulatory challenges and response.

What You'll Do

  • Perform and may supervise day-to-day activities in support of financial institution consulting projects including interaction with client personnel, other team members, and professionals from other firms involved in the engagement

  • Perform technical, industry, and company research, develop work plans and execute studies to assess complex questions of fact, develop executable strategies, prepare reports and summarizing findings that will be delivered to clients and other parties

  • Apply banking, compliance, financial, and analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines, including development and review of client policies and procedures, processes and controls, risk assessments, corporate governance structure, compliance with bank regulations, operation efficiency, and revenue optimization

  • Collaborating with our Mergers, Integrations and Carve Out practice in conducting diligence and executing acquisitions and divestitures working for both company and private capital driven transactions

  • Maintain detailed working paper records reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical and review tasks

  • Deliver a high-quality product within established timeframes and budgets. Prepare written analyses and other reports for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope and/or results of activities. Prepare presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties on the project scope and findings

  • Supervise, coach and develop junior team members' while ensuring quality of outcomes for our clients

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Management, Economics, Engineering, Statistics or in a related field

  • 8+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience in private or public sector payments and/or banking

  • Strong understanding and ability to use AI tools in both the delivery of work for our clients and to recognize opportunities for clients to leverage AI to accelerate value

  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s)asneeded

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

  • Core understand of the emerging capabilities and challenges in the payment industry, including digital assets, cross-border payments, and fraud in both B2C and B2B

  • Depth of knowledge of the core platforms, not just in the payments space, but also the platforms that connect to the payment ecosystem, such as treasury, ERP, core banking platforms including cloud based platforms such as those provided by FIS and others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive expertise across the payment ecosystem coupled with experience across diverse financial sectors, including Consumer, Wholesale, Corporate and Investment, and Private Wealth Management

  • Proficient in developing, reviewing, and coordinating the adoption and deployment of leading payment capabilities for both the financial service industry as well as retail and B2B industries

  • Current, or a desire to work towards, industry certifications

Compensation

Minimum Pay: $119,500
Maximum Pay: $329,500

Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
