Overview:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the QA Department including the QA Analysts and Technicians on all shifts and assists the QA Manager in ensuring all food safety and quality programs are accomplished in a thorough and timely manner. The QA Supervisor also completes special projects as assigned by the plant QA Manager.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Verification of the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Verification of HACCP Programs for the plant.
  • Supervise and assist QA Technicians in their daily duties.
  • Manage and document daily product slicing.
  • Ensure Label Requirements are met for all bags and boxes.
  • Administer the Micro and Environmental Programs.
  • Review and monitor all in Plant Programs relating to QA.
  • Cover for the QA Manager in his/her absence
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in food science or related discipline.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years experience in quality assurance within a food related environment.
  • HACCP certified, or possess a high level of knowledge related to the certification.
  • Thorough understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills on a general level.
  • Good analytical and logical problem solving skills related to food safety and product quality issues.
