Job description

About the Position: IRC has openings for one full-time Program Technician on the Restoration and Enhancement team. The positions are primarily field-based, coordinating and leading work crews in the implementation of habitat restoration projects. This includes seeding and planting native vegetation, weed maintenance, and field monitoring. The positions also involve some office work of data entry, analysis, and reporting on daily work activities. The Program Technicians may work independently under general direction and as part of a team.
The Successful Candidate will have a minimum of two years of work experience in a related field and the following experience, skills, abilities, and knowledge:
  • Experience in landscape maintenance, habitat restoration, nursery work, agriculture, or similar
  • Experience safely using and maintaining hand tools such as hoes, trowels, shovels, and weed whips
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in an outdoor setting at multiple locations
  • Helpful, but not required: Spanish proficiency
  • Helpful, but not required: Familiarity with the local ecology

Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour ($47,840 - $58,240 per year)
