Job description

Are you a skilled technician with a knack for hands-on work and improving people’s mobility and quality of life? Our client, a leading orthotics and prosthetics provider dedicated to delivering custom-built mobility solutions, is seeking an Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician (O&P Technician) to join their Fort Mill, SC team.

About the Role

As an O&P Technician, you’ll play an essential role in supporting clinicians and the care team by fabricating, modifying, and maintaining high-quality orthotic and prosthetic devices according to individualized specifications. You’ll work directly in the fabrication environment and contribute to a mission focused on enhancing patient outcomes and mobility.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate custom orthotic and prosthetic devices based on clinician specifications, using a variety of materials and fabrication techniques.
  • Assist clinicians with adjustments, fitting preparation, and fine-tuning of devices to ensure comfort, function, and fit.
  • Perform routine maintenance and structural repairs on orthotic and prosthetic devices as needed.
  • Operate and maintain fabrication tools, machinery, and workspaces while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain organized documentation of work orders, production schedules, materials, and inventory.
  • Ensure lab cleanliness and compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in orthotics/prosthetics fabrication, technical trades, or related mechanical work preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to precision and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a patient-focused clinical team.
  • Comfortable operating fabrication tools and equipment in a dynamic environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical training or certification is a plus.
