Job description

If you love fresh fruit, you will enjoy working as a Fruit Cutter preparing cut fruit for our fresh foods and grab and go shelves!


The Fruit Cutter is responsible for preparing, cutting, packaging, and displaying fresh fruit while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and quality. This role helps ensure customers receive fresh, attractive, and ready-to-eat fruit products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash, peel, slice, dice, and prepare a variety of fresh fruits.
  • Package and label fruit according to company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Inspect fruit for freshness and quality, removing damaged or spoiled items.
  • Stock and rotate products using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method.
  • Assist with inventory and notify supervisors when supplies are low.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Previous food preparation or produce experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to safely use knives and food preparation equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
