Queen’s Price Chopper – Fruit Cutter Position
Part- Time
The primary purpose of the Produce Clerk is to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, gaining product knowledge, rotation of product, merchandising and controlling shrink. The Produce Clerk is to establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. The Produce Clerk is responsible for all fresh and packaged vegetables and fruit, generating sales and merchandising product.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Observe all store rules and company policies.
  • Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
  • Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service.
  • Knows seasonality, use and taste of products offered.
  • Observe shift -operating hours at all times as scheduled by department manager.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Display merchandise in an attractive, appealing and neat manner.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on an ongoing basis.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Able to exert or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and exert or lift negligible amounts of weight often.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred.
  • Prior work experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
