Job description

About Front Row:
Front Row isn't a traditional agency. We're a connected growth engine, combining strategy, creative, media, and Amazon performance to scale beauty, wellness, and consumer brands. Our difference is in what we connect, and the results it drives: faster growth, stronger conversion, and full-funnel efficiency across every platform.
Born from the unification of five commerce-first agencies, Front Row's Amazon Marketplace Growth division operates at the intersection of brand and performance to help emerging and established brands scale strategically on Amazon.
About Front Row Amazon Marketplace Growth:
Front Row's Amazon Marketplace Growth division is purpose-built to help brands scale profitably and strategically on Amazon. We support every stage of the Amazon journey, from early-stage channel entry to enterprise-level expansion, through a connected service model that spans 3P Management, 1P Management, and 3P Distribution.
What sets us apart is our ability to match business models to business moments across a brand's Amazon lifecycle. Whether we're helping a brand take control of its presence through 3P Management, streamline vendor operations via 1P, or unlocking new revenue through our owned retail Distribution model, we operate with agility, transparency, and a relentless focus on performance.
Our team blends deep Amazon fluency with category-specific expertise across Beauty, Health, Wellness, Pet, and Household CPG, offering tailored strategies, full-funnel optimization, and executional excellence.
As part of Front Row's broader connected commerce offering, we bring Amazon into alignment with a brand's DTC, retail, and marketing ecosystem, ensuring that success on-platform fuels momentum off-platform, too.
Role Overview:
We're hiring a Sales Engineer to act as the technical bridge between prospective clients and our internal conversion team, helping translate complex marketplace capabilities into clear, actionable solutions in a customer facing, technical selling capacity.
In this role, you will partner closely with Sales to qualify opportunities, diagnose brand challenges, and architect tailored solutions across Amazon and marketplace channels. You will play a critical role in shaping deal strategy, forecasting impact, ensuring continuity from pre-sale through delivery.
You will report directly to our SVP of Sales and collaborate cross-functionally with our service teams, serving as a key advisor in evaluating prospective brand partners and guiding them through the pre-sale process.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert across Amazon and broader ecommerce, supporting the sales team in advancing and closing opportunities
  • Build internal data sets from such systems as Amazon, SmartScout, Jungle Scout, Keepa and expose that information back to the GTM team in a customer facing format
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, brand strategy, and finance to develop solutions that convert prospects into clients
  • Drive the acquisition of new brand partners through identifying high value accounts
  • Craft strategic business cases that resonate with brands and clearly outline Front Row's value and expected outcomes
  • Act as a go-to resource for Amazon and broader marketplace knowledge
  • Deliver compelling business cases to senior leadership teams at target accounts
Requirements
  • 4+ years in sales or sales engineering within a cross-functional, matrixed environment and 2+ years of experience in Amazon/eCommerce
  • Strong expertise in Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and deliver meaningful insights to senior leadership
  • Excellent communication abilities both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates a strong bias for action, consistently driving progress with prospective clients
  • Adapts messaging, presentations, and strategies based on each account's unique challenges and goals
  • Develop Cross-functional relationships to leverage specialized expertise
  • Stay current on industry trends and shifts across the ecommerce and marketplace landscape
Benefits
  • Health, dental, and vision
  • PTO
  • Summer Fridays
  • Wellness and commuter benefits
  • Work with a fun, consultative team of experts
  • Location - Remote or Hybrid in NYC
