We are looking for a warm, professional, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our school community. The Front Desk Receptionist plays an important role in creating a welcoming and positive environment for students, faculty and staff, families, and visitors while supporting the day-to-day operations of the school. Our ideal candidate is personable, dependable, attentive to detail, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy school environment.


Position Details:
Title: Front Desk Receptionist
Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Reports to: Head of School
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, customer service, school, or office environment preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Google Workspace or other school information systems
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively


Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Head of School, the Front Desk Receptionist will:

  • Welcome and assist students, families, visitors, and faculty/staff in a warm and professional manner
  • Manage front desk operations including answering and directing phone calls, managing visitor check ins, deliveries, and mail
  • Assist with student arrival, dismissal, and other daily school procedures
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally with faculty, staff, students, families, and visitors.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Support and uphold all Mason Preparatory School policies and procedures as outlined in faculty and employee handbooks
