  Your Role - Sous Chef

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef supervises and coordinates all culinary operations by ensuring:

  • Quality, consistency, and creativity of dishes

  • Compliance with Marriott standards and hygiene regulations

  • Smooth daily operations (breakfast services, banquets, Il Soffio restaurant, events)

  • Engagement, training, and supervision of the culinary team

  • Strategic support in planning, menu development, and cost control

This role requires autonomy, rigor, and exceptional organizational skills.

  Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef in planning, creating, and executing menus

  • Supervise the culinary team and ensure continuity in the Chef’s absence

  • Maintain consistency and quality according to Marriott culinary standards

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations (MAPAQ)

  • Manage inventory, cost control, and operational efficiency

  • Train, coach, and inspire team members

  • Participate in special events, buffets, banquets, and culinary initiatives
