Job Summary:

The primary duties of the Front Desk Supervisor are to accommodate guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous, and friendly manner, and assist and guide the front office staff in daily duties and long-term goals. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback to improve productivity and guest service.
  • Monitor occupancy rates and forecasts.
  • Work closely with other operational managers and supervisors to ensure efficient hotel operations.
  • Assist and guide the front office staff through their daily duties and responsibilities.
  • Train new employees as designated and outlined in the Front Office Training Guide.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service.
  • Maintain a positive work environment.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Front Desk and Guest Services.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Previous knowledge of hospitality and hotel operational functions.
  • Front desk experience required.
  • Ability to problem-solve under stressful situations.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanour.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand during the entire shift
  • Long hours are sometimes required
