Front Desk Assistant (Part-Time)

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Front Desk Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, families, staff, and community partners. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, creating a welcoming environment, and supporting day-to-day office operations.

We are looking for a candidate with strong customer service skills, professionalism, and basic computer proficiency. While this position includes some clerical and administrative responsibilities, the primary focus is providing excellent front desk support and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who enters our facility.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk assistant, customer service representative, or similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Experience using office equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and professional in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome visitors, families, and staff as soon as they arrive.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person, department, or location.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide accurate information in person, by phone, or via email.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Maintain office security by following visitor check-in procedures and building access protocols.
  • Utilize visitor management software to check in visitors and volunteers and generate visitor badges.
  • Assist with basic clerical duties including filing, data entry, copying, faxing, scanning, and preparing correspondence.
  • Maintain organized records and support office documentation needs.
  • Provide general support to program staff and administrators as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
  • Support a positive customer service experience for clients, families, staff, and community partners.

Work Environment: Exposed to a combination of office, school, and mental health treatment environments. Exposed to clients with behavior problems. May be exposed to shouting and clients who are upset.
