Assistant Professor of Exercise and Sports Science (Tenure-track)

The Department of Exercise and Sports Science at the University of South Carolina Aiken invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, teaching, research, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Exercise and Sports Science, with an expected start date of August 16, 2027.

Requirements: Candidates must have a conferred doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree) in exercise science, kinesiology, sports science, or a closely related field by the time of appointment (ABD will be considered with degree conferred by the time of appointment). Candidates must be willing to teach undergraduate and graduate exercise and sports science courses as assigned in both in-person and online settings, including exercise physiology, biomechanics, functional anatomy, exercise testing, exercise prescription or strength and conditioning. Candidates should demonstrate potential for an active research/scholarship agenda involving undergraduate and graduate students, evidence of effective teaching, and a commitment to service to the department, university, and profession. Salary is commensurate and competitive with qualifications and experience.
