Serving the Northern Virginia area, we proudly cater to youth, collegiate, and professional athletes, as well as adults seeking improved speed, strength, agility, or general fitness. Our science-backed, 5-Star Training Program is crafted by D1’s National Training Panel and draws on proven Division 1 Strength & Conditioning principles. With a strong community mindset, we have supported over 100 NFL draft picks and more than 3,000 collegiate athletes. At D1, every individual with dedication to their fitness or sport is considered an athlete.

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Strength and Conditioning Coach located in Alexandria, VA. The Strength and Conditioning Coach will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs tailored to individual and group needs, leading warm-up and workout sessions, and ensuring proper exercise techniques to prevent injuries. The role involves working to build athletic performance, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a positive and safe training environment while motivating clients to meet their fitness goals.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Strength & Conditioning techniques and a solid understanding of Strength Training fundamentals
  • Knowledge of Sports Science principles and their application to athletic training
  • Experience in enhancing Athletic Performance and Injury Prevention practices
  • Strong communication and motivational skills to inspire and engage athletes of varying ages and fitness levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) are a plus
  • Experience working with youth, adult, or professional athletes is highly desirable
