Responsibilities

  • A Slot Attendant is responsible for fulfilling the service needs of slot players while ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests; works at a fast-pace and require operational savvy along with unwavering enthusiasm and resilience.
  • An eagerness to serve coupled with the ability to be accurate while efficient is the mark of a great Greektown Casino-Hotel Slot Attendant Team Member. Essential Functions
  • Provides guest service and support by maintaining high visibility on the floor
  • Delivers exceptional guest service through smiling, making eye contact, and verbally greeting all guests and team members
  • Displays a sense of urgency at all times to minimize wait times; maintains a quick and purposeful pace
  • Respond to guest needs, including slot machine inquiries, slot payouts, making change, processing jackpots, promotional participation, and general slot machine maintenance and trouble-shooting
  • Maintains working knowledge of Michigan Gaming Control Board (federal, state, and local) regulations as well as Greektown Casino-Hotel policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates exemplary communication skills to effectively communicate with guests and fellow Team Members; proficiently communicates in person, via radio, phone and in writing - Proficient in counting, handling and securing cash funds
  • Follows departmental procedures and assists in protection of gaming operations from loss due to mistake or theft
  • Maintains proper use of ipod or other mobile device - Participates in Greektown Casino-Hotel programs and meetings 
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position
  • Maintains required key controls 
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Enjoys a fast pace, is proficient at multi-tasking, and can maintain enthusiasm and energy throughout duration of shift - Must be able to think and work independently, as well as part of a Team
  • Must be able to read, write, communicate and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Must have basic computer skills and display a willingness to learn and grow as technology advances
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed
  • Manual dexterity, ability to stand and walk during an entire shift in a noisy and smoking environment
  • Push in chairs, open and close slot machine doors with multiple latches
  • Must be able to maintain composure and excellent guest relations under all circumstances
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules, policies and procedures
  • Must have thorough understanding of the Michigan Gaming Control Board Regulations pertaining to Slot Operations
