Job Summary:

Catawba Two Kings Casino is hiring Slot Technicians to join our team! Under the guidance of the Service Technical Coordinator and Slot Director the slot technician ensures all gaming technologies are kept in good working order in accordance with the operational standards and gaming regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and test slot machines and associated systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electronic gaming devices.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in slot machines.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and service calls.
  • Ensure compliance with gaming regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist with slot machine conversions, upgrades, and relocations.
  • Respond promptly to service calls from the casino floor.
  • Collaborate with Slot Operations, Gaming Commission, and IT teams to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and tools; report shortages or needs to management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and staff during technical support interactions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in slot machine maintenance or similar technical role.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanical systems, and computer hardware/software.
  • Familiarity with slot management systems and gaming software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed.
  • Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to secondhand cigarette smoke).
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
