One Mission. Many Opportunities. Come join the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. St. Rose Convent is home to the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and the Mary of the Angels Chapel. We are seeking full-time and part-time Registered Nurses (RN) to join our wellness team at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse. We are looking for someone who shares our values of partnership and compassion and desires a culture that puts relationships first.
In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care while embodying our mission of love and service. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a healing environment that aligns with our values. The RN's will promote harmony of body, mind and spirit through a team approach by offering services to the retired Sisters that will advocate and foster the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being while also promoting the independence of each Sister.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in State of Wisconsin
  • Identify with and display a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and core values of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability for a weekend rotation and holiday rotation
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems
  • Ability to support caregivers and other nursing staff in accordance with policies
  • Understanding of the nursing process as it applies to long term care, including assessments, care planning, and evaluations.
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • a commitment to person-directed care (or as we call it--relationship-centered care!)
  • Previous work experience in Geriatrics preferred

In this role, you may:
  • Provide on-going assessment and management of health status for the Sisters as needed
  • Maintains accurate records for each Sister
  • Assists with prescription and over the counter medication by ordering and delivering medication, "setting-up" supervised medications systems and administering medications
  • Advocates for the Sisters to ensure their health needs are being met in accordance with their values and wishes.
  • Prioritize workload, manage time effectively and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Communicates with other members of the Wellness team verbally and through the use of the Electronic Charting System
