Job Description:

JOB: Saks & Company LLC seeks Sr. Database Administrator, Oracle EBS in New York,
NY to perform EBS application installation, maintenance, and administration on version 11
and R12. Utilize Oracle EBS Suite and supportability matrix to research upgrades and
installation requirements for future releases and use of Discoverer 10g with Oracle E-
Business Suite R12 applications to generate BI publisher reports. Manage RDS databases,
perform cloud monitoring with AWS CloudWatch, Azure Dashboards and alerts to diagnose
and monitor for cloud managed databases. Perform automation of manual processes for
database and cloud environments using automation tools including Terraform, Ansible,
Github, Poweshell, and shellscripts. Perform administrative tasks including database
creations, upgrades, database backups, audit activities, troubleshoot performance issues,
along with other DBA activities. Support various Oracle Database versions including 9i,
10g, 11g, and 12c and Oracle RAC using ASM related to load balancing and failover on
RAC database for high availability. Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning on
application and database.


REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a
related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered
or related occupation: installing E-business suite applications from scratch while
migrating the EBS 11i environment; performing EBS application and oracle database
software installation and clone the applications while migrating the data; applying
quarterly and year-end maintenance patches, bug fixes, and Critical Vulnerability
Updates (CVU) patches; applying Vertex tax patches on non-production system and
migrate the patches to production; implementing single sign on by integrating Oracle
OID, OIM with the EBS application which enables user password less login to EBS self-
service applications; migrating databases from on-premises to AWS RDS and Azure
cloud for modernization; utilizing terraform to provision cloud database resources
including RDS for AWS, SQL Managed Instance for Azure; using ansible playbooks to
automate the installation of oracle software 11g, 12c, 19c versions for consistency of
environment; standardizing the scripts for database maintenance activities and check-in
in Github repository; and supporting Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MongoDB, Postgres,
Teradata technologies as used by application team. Telecommuting and/or working from
home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting must
report to work site.
