Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer with hands-on experience in Oracle MICROS Simphony STS Gen 2 to build and maintain RESTful API integrations between digital ordering platforms and a cloud-based POS system. This role will support a large-scale POS modernization initiative focused on enabling real-time ordering, checkout, payment, and menu synchronization across a high-volume enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Simphony STS Gen 2 REST APIs, C#, Azure Functions, SQL, JSON, and RESTful architecture. This position is highly focused on developing scalable integrations that support mobile, kiosk, web, and POS ordering workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful API integrations between digital ordering platforms and Oracle MICROS Simphony POS systems.
  • Support the modernization and migration of legacy STS Gen 1 integrations to Simphony STS Gen 2.
  • Build scalable checkout, payment, and real-time order processing workflows.
  • Automate menu synchronization between POS systems and customer-facing ordering platforms.
  • Develop backend services using C# and Azure Functions within a serverless architecture.
  • Work with relational databases using SQL to support data movement, integration logic, and reporting needs.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues related to orders, payments, menu data, tender types, and POS configurations.
  • Support integrations across mobile ordering, kiosk, web, and other digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable integration solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • 1–2+ years of hands-on experience working specifically with Oracle MICROS Simphony STS Gen 2 REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of POS systems and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Deep knowledge of Simphony hierarchy, revenue centers, menu item classes, and multi-tender configurations.
  • Professional experience with C# and backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Functions and serverless architecture.
  • Strong SQL experience, including relational database design and query development.
  • Strong experience with JSON, RESTful architecture, and API development.
  • Experience with OIDC token management and secure API authentication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience migrating legacy STS Gen 1 SOAP/XML interfaces to STS Gen 2 REST/JSON.
  • Experience deploying scalable backend systems within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
  • Experience supporting POS, digital ordering, hospitality technology, retail, food service, or high-volume transaction environments.
  • Familiarity with checkout workflows, payment integrations, menu synchronization, and real-time order processing.
What You'll Work On

This role supports a major digital transformation initiative focused on modernizing a large enterprise POS integration ecosystem. The business is transitioning from legacy SOAP/XML-based integrations to modern REST/JSON-based services to support scalable, real-time digital ordering experiences across mobile, kiosk, and web platforms.

The integrations developed in this role will directly support ordering and payment workflows across a broad network of customer-facing locations and stores, making this a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys building practical, business-critical technology.

Interview Process
  1. Initial 15-minute virtual screening with a member of the hiring team
  2. Technical evaluation
  3. Onsite 1-hour discussion with stakeholders
Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule based in Bethesda, MD
  • 4 days onsite and 1 day remote
