    • Weld symbols, weld types, and inspection requirements

    • Special process and surface finish callouts

  • Collaborate with Engineering to resolve drawing gaps, ambiguities, or quality risks prior to release.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and Engineering to resolve supplier-related quality issues.

  • Support evaluation and approval of deviations, concessions, and waivers to ensure reliability and risk requirements are met.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze quality reports, defect data, scrap, rework, and field feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Lead structured root cause analysis and corrective action activities using recognized methodologies.

  • Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure quality records, corrective action documentation, and inspection plans are accurate, complete, and compliant with internal procedures and applicable standards.

  • Verify that corrective actions and deviations meet defined reliability, safety, and compliance requirements.

  • Support internal, customer, and supplier audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

Collaboration & Development

  • Actively participate in cross-functional teams to resolve quality and production issues.

  • Provide guidance, technical support, and on-the-job training to junior Quality Engineers, inspectors, and manufacturing personnel.

  • Communicate quality performance, risks, and improvement progress clearly to stakeholders.
