Job description

Garver's Fayetteville Water Design Center is seeking a Process Engineer with Water Treatment Plant experience in Greenville, SC.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for leading projects from conceptual planning to bid ready documents. This may include facility and equipment layouts, design calculations, equipment vendor coordination, management and coordination of support discipline activities, and coordination with regional offices and regulatory agencies as well as performing quality reviews of other teams' designs. This position will be responsible for leading a wide array of design tasks related to water facilities, such as:
  • Lead drinking water process evaluations, selections, and implementation
  • Lead detail design of drinking water treatment processes including:
    • Conventional treatment processes such as coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation basins
    • Conventional and advanced filtration
    • Membrane systems
    • Conventional and advanced disinfection systems
  • Pump selection and pump station design
  • Chemical storage and feed system design
  • Piping and instrumentation drawing production
  • Specification and contract document preparation
  • Support of construction projects
  • Oversee the development of construction drawings, and 3D models

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological engineering. (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of direct design experience with municipal water plants.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
