Location: WFH in the USA. ***Only for residents of cities/states in PST, MST or CST.

Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Central Standard Time

After training schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:30am – 7:00pm Central Standard Time

Pay Rate: $18/hour

The right candidate will have:

  • Must have 1+ year of call center experience in a high volume environment.
  • 1 year of Healthcare or Insurance experience.
  • Must be a proficient typist (at least 35 WPM) with the ability to maneuver through various computer platforms/screens while verifying a variety of information simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information
  • Ability to multi-task while staying organized.
  • Internet service that provides 1000 MBPS fiber optic, high speed service and must be able to connect directly to your router via an ethernet cord.

What you will be doing:

The Customer Service Intake Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for providers and members, processing authorization and service inquiries while supporting first-call resolution. This role researches eligibility and provider status, communicates case updates (including appeal/denial information) as appropriate, and helps resolve non-clinical issues while safeguarding protected health information. The Specialist is expected to meet service and quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement within the Care Center.

  • Listen to callers and process service requests to achieve first-call resolution.
  • Communicate eligibility and authorization details while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Resolve non-clinical complaints as the primary contact to reduce unnecessary clinician transfers.
  • Manage the communication of appeal/denial information and process case status changes.
  • Follow all regional regulatory requirements while building professional relationships with provider groups.
  • Meet monthly service metrics and contribute to a high-performance team culture.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and take ownership of your professional development.
