Job description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is responsible for generating, maintaining, and servicing profitable business and retail customer relationships while maintaining a productive banking center staff and assuring proper daily branch operations are being performed.


MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

GENERAL

  • Accountable for proactively managing and growing banking center by use of entrepreneurial business management skills to ensure financial objectives are met
  • Promote a network with internal support areas and develop a cohesive working partnership with other lines of business โ€“ mortgage, commercial, etc. Responsible for coordinating and developing procedures to maximize opportunities to cross-sell to customers from other lines of business.
  • Responsible for generating, maintaining and servicing profitable business and retail customer relationships
  • Responsible for maximizing banking center profitability by monitoring income and expenses for banking center
  • Staff management including but not limited to recruitment, coaching/development, disciplinary, performance evaluations, vacation and time sheet approvals
  • Ensure regulatory compliance standards are met
  • Plan, organize, direct and control banking center activities/operations: quality control, exceptions, security equipment testing, and audits
  • Ensure adherence to Home Bankโ€™s policies and procedures by all staff
  • Customer service requests including, but not limited to, new account opening, safe deposit transactions, wire transfers, maintaining account records and paperwork, Debit card issuance, accepting loan applications, and assisting customers with inquiries and problems as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Coordinate sales strategies with the Retail Group Lead
  • Communicate important and appropriate information to staff members on a timely basis
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the banking centerโ€™s overall performance
  • Diagnose and develop an action plan to solve for branch inefficiencies
  • Provide and maintain a professional, business-like atmosphere within the banking center
  • Accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction and ensuring quality service standards are consistently delivered by staff
  • Adhere to all meeting routines set forth by and Retail Group Lead
  • Work expected Banking Center hours of operation, including Saturday banking
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned by leadership

STAFF DEVELOPMENT

  • Establish an environment in which all branch employees work as a team to meet or exceed branch goals
  • Coach staff members on effective sales and service techniques by coaching to behaviors that identify financial needs and promote the continued development of employees
  • Ensure all branch employees follow policy and procedures and operate within the guidelines of Home Bank
  • Develop employees by providing personal development plans and action plans, as necessary
  • Ensure all branch employees complete annually required compliance courses in a timely manner
  • Complete and deliver performance evaluations as required by Home Bank
  • Include leadership team in managing responsibilities if applicable


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Five years of banking experience, with an extensive background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations
  • A minimum of two years of lending authority
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business related field preferred
  • Excellent leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to diagnose, resolve or escalate a critical situation
  • Receive and maintain NMLS certification
