Air Logistics Customer Care Specialist

Location: Mendota Heights, MN 55120
Pay: $24.00โ€“$26.00 per hour
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday | 7:00 AMโ€“4:00 PM or 8:00 AMโ€“5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Onsite Mondayโ€“Thursday | Remote Fridays


Position Overview

A leading global logistics and supply chain solutions provider is seeking an Air Logistics Customer Care Specialist to join its growing team in Mendota Heights, MN. This customer-facing role serves as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the air freight shipment lifecycle, ensuring exceptional service, proactive communication, and successful shipment execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience within the freight forwarding industry, strong customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely updates and proactive communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.

  • Resolve shipment-related issues and customer concerns professionally, efficiently, and with a sense of urgency.
  • Partner closely with Operational Care Centers (OCCs), Sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely shipment execution.
  • Monitor shipment activity and provide critical updates to customers and internal teams as needed.
  • Maintain real-time shipment visibility using internal logistics systems and established tracking methodologies.
  • Support operational excellence by ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and execution of freight forwarding procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels, customer retention, and business profitability.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless customer experience and support organizational goals.


Qualifications

  • 1โ€“2 years of customer service experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the freight forwarding industry required.
  • Air logistics or air freight forwarding experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding operations, shipment processes, standard operating procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, customer relationship management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
