About the Roleย 

We areย seekingย an experienced, creative, and highly independentย Freelance Visual Merchandiser with deep expertise in the gift and accessory merchandising space. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can take ownership of execution at tradeshows, drive engagement through compelling presentation, and elevate brand experience. Local candidates only - on-site presence and brand familiarity are essential.ย

  • Design & Executionย 
  • Implement visually compelling displaysย (product groupings, seasonal themes)ย whichย reflect brand identity and maximize sales.ย 
  • Utilize lighting, props, signage, fixtures, and layout strategies to enhanceย the customerย experience and guideย purchasingย behavior.ย 
  • Maintain visual standards consistently across installations.ย 
  • Strategic Merchandisingย 
  • Executeย merchandising aligned with seasonalย campaigns and business goals.ย 
  • Stay current with retail design trends and consumer preferences in gifts,ย accessoriesย and lifestyle merchandising.ย 

Required Qualificationsย 

  • 10-15+ yearsย of proven visual merchandising experience, ideally within the gift, accessory, lifestyle, or specialty retail sectors.ย 
  • Strong independent thinker capable of owning execution with minimal oversight.ย 
  • Exceptional aesthetic sensibility, attention to detail, and an advanced understanding of display principles and consumer psychology.ย 
  • Excellent communicationย andย collaboration.ย 
  • Comfortable working on-siteย during pre-show set-updates; ability to liftย at leastย 50lbsย / move display componentsย andย processย inventoryย when necessary.ย 
  • Has theย knowledgeย in usingย power tools,ย hand tools, andย comfortableย withย usingย ladders.ย 
  • Extendedย standing,ย physicalย aspects of the job (heavyย lifting at time)ย 
  • Portfolioย demonstratingย past work in visual merchandising, especially within gift/accessory displays preferred.ย
