Job description

We are currently hiring for a Solar Service Technician/ Surveyor. The Solar Service Technician/ Surveyor will work closely with the Service Manager and Dispatcher to troubleshoot residential customer's pv solar systems, install upgrades, battery backup systems and electric vehicle charging systems.The Service Technician/ Surveyor will provide professional site auditing services to obtain and communicate the necessary technical data to the Sales, Operations & Design Teams for the preparation of project scope information needed to adequately propose a solar system design, as well as provide permit ready documents needed to facilitate the installation of solar systems. As the Technician/ Surveyor you will be making a first impression of the company to the customer. Must be professional and confident in all requirements to make a smooth first meet to ensure the customer is completely comfortable continuing with Green Power Energy. $20-30/hour depending upon experience.

Requirements

Must have experience installing solar panels, wiring solar electrical and/or running conduit.

Must have tremendous customer service skills, written and verbal.

Manage customer service tickets, coordinating the execution of service work with Service Manager, field technicians and leadership team.

Understand Troubleshooting Techniques.

Punctual, regular and consistent attendance record.

Install and Troubleshoot batteries, disconnects, conduit, solar panels, and inverters.

Inventory and Tool Management.

Ability to use basic installation tools, power tools and hand tools.

Good physical condition, able to lift minimum of 50lbs, and have the ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops.

Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Ideal candidate can successfully troubleshoot issues on comp shingle and flat roofs

Must be able to pass background check and Drug Screen.Self Motivated individual who works well alone
