Job description

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB

We believe that what a brand does is more important than what it says-we want you to help brands do amazing, unprecedented, wild things, creating experiences that people never forget.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE DOING IT AT MOMENTUM

Because the idea that a brand's action is more important than its rhetoric is the key to our entire approach. It is all about the experience and we can-hands down, barnone-create that better than anyone else. That's not jargon or ego-it's truth. Experience creates the connections that lead to loyalty, advocacy and sales. So we imagine and create those things here, in what we call the total brand experience. And how we do it is with genius, dedication, strategic thinking and working together as collective groups. Before you get any ideas, it's important you know we're serious about taking care of each other here. So think on that. We work too closely not to have fun together. We work too smart not to make the world better. And we work too well not to continually push for more. Think on all that, too.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-curious HR Associate to own our freelance program end-to-end. Sitting at the intersection of payroll, freelance operations, and internal systems, you will maintain workforce data accuracy and partner with IT to improve our tools. This role is perfect for a process-minded individual eager to grow into a systems-savvy operator.ย

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Payroll & Compliance: Execute accurate payroll cycles, update employee records, and review timesheets. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
  • Freelance Operations: Coordinate freelancer onboarding via external vendors and manage time/expense entries. Resolve discrepancies and act as the primary vendor contact.
  • Systems & Optimization: Maintain our freelance PowerApp and API connections. Identify workflow inefficiencies and help standardize internal processes.ย ย
  • Support:ย Troubleshoot system access issues with IT and maintain accurate engagement data for audits.ย  Help document and standardize freelance processes and best practices. ย Contribute to the evolution of our internal tools and data workflows, with opportunities. ย Approach operational challenges with a critical lens, connecting dots across teams, tools, and workflows to identify root causes, anticipate downstream impacts, and recommendย well-reasoned solutions to engage in projects involving system integrations, APIs, and reporting automation

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS)

  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, HR, finance, or a related administrative role
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working with systems, spreadsheets, and data tracking
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess requests and problems holistically - understanding how people, systems, and processes connect and impact one another and provide thoughtful, solutions-oriented guidance as a result
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous or evolving environments and able to bring structure to undefined problems

We thrive in an inclusive environment, and we recruit, hire and promote without regard to race, gender, age, color, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, ethnic or national origin, citizenship, religion, sexual preference, military or veteran status, marital status, family status, physical or mental disability - or any other legally protected categories as set forth in the applicable state, federal or local laws.
