Job description

  • This is a Senior Podcast Producer role for True Crime with Kendall Rae at Mile Higher Media - a hybrid position based in Lone Tree, CO, paying $75,000-$95,000/year with full benefits (401k match, health/dental/vision/life insurance). It's a jack-of-all-trades producer role covering: content planning and case research for episodes; scheduling and managing production timelines; communication with other producers, advertisers, and talent management; script-writing support and fact-checking; and general producer duties as needed. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of podcast/narrative audio production experience, strong writing skills, solid project management chops, and comfort managing relationships with advertisers and talent.

  • Mile Higher Media is a Denver metro-based podcast network producing top true crime and paranormal shows, including True Crime with Kendall Rae, Lights Out, and The Sesh Podcast. We're looking for a versatile Senior Podcast Producer to help take our flagship true crime show to the next level.
What You'll Do
  • Research and vet true crime cases, sourcing credible facts and details for episodes
  • Build and maintain the show's content/episode calendar
  • Pitch new case ideas and story angles
  • Manage production timelines to keep episodes on schedule
  • Coordinate recording sessions and pre-production logistics
  • Act as the main point of contact between producers, editors, and the host
  • Manage communication with advertisers and sponsors, including scheduling ad reads
  • Support talent management, including host scheduling and prep materials
  • Write and edit portions of episode scripts
  • Fact-check scripts and source material before production
  • Take on other producer duties as needed (thumbnail/title input, analytics review, etc.)
  • Support and train junior producers or freelance contributors as the show grows
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of podcast production experience, ideally true crime, documentary, or narrative audio/video
  • Strong interest in true-crime media
  • Familiarity with the podcast industry
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Proven project management ability across multiple episodes and deadlines
  • Comfortable managing advertiser, talent, and freelancer relationships
  • Familiar with tools like Google Workspace, Notion/Monday.com, Slack, Descript, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong research and fact-checking skills
  • Self-starter who works well independently
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule based in Lone Tree, CO
