Developer Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MS Power Platform Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an innovative centralized solution for collection, management and reporting using Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerApps, and Dataverse. This role will focus on developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Pages to support both internal staff and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong experience in data architecture, system integration, and scalable application development.

The primary focus of this role will be to design and develop a centralized reporting tool with enhanced user experience for data entry, automating user authentication and verification processes, and delivering training to the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas, Pages and Model-Driven Apps).
  • Build and configure secure, user-friendly portals using Power Pages or Canvas for external and internal users.
  • Develop and manage data models within Microsoft Dataverse to support structured public health data collection.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to support reporting and integrations.
  • Implement role-based access control and data security best practices for both internal and external users.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and performance tuning of applications.
  • Maintain documentation for system architecture, data models, and processes.
  • Implement SQL database connector within Dataverse to enable PowerApps to query a local SQL database, automate cross-checks between a currently authenticated Portal user and the SQL DB to ensure that there is a user match, and share limited information associated with that user.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in MS Power Platform development and implementation.
  • Proficiency in PowerApps, MS Pages and Dataverse.
  • Knowledge of SQL database structure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
