Job Title: JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) Business Analyst - Finance & Accounting
Department: Information Technology

Location: Miamisburg, Ohio
Summary
The EnterpriseOne (E1) Business Analyst - Finance & Accounting serves as the primary IT liaison supporting Finance and Accounting business users. This role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT to improve business processes, resolve system issues, and optimize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial modules.
This position requires deep, hands-on functional expertise in JD Edwards Financials, including direct experience working in the system to troubleshoot issues, configure modules, support users, and resolve production tickets.
The role combines strong accounting and finance domain knowledge with technical ERP systems expertise, ensuring that financial processes, controls, and reporting requirements are effectively translated into scalable and well-supported system solutions.
This position resides within IT but is dedicated to supporting Finance & Accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.
Finance & Accounting Systems Support
  • Serve as the primary IT point of contact for Finance & Accounting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues related to JDE Financial modules.
  • Analyze root causes of system errors, reconciliation discrepancies, posting issues, batch failures, and integration problems.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within E1.
  • Assist Accounting with audit requests, data validation, and system-related compliance requirements.
  • Provide hands-on support for Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, Inventory Costing, Advanced Pricing, Account Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, Consolidations & Restatements, and Intercompany Processing
System Analysis & Process Optimization
  • Partner with Finance & Accounting and IT to analyze system issues, gather requirements, and design effective JD Edwards EnterpriseOne solutions.
  • Configure and support E1 Financial modules to align with evolving business and accounting requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and formal Change Requests for development, estimation, and approval.
  • Lead and support solution testing activities, including unit testing and coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring successful deployment to Production.
  • Evaluate current ("as-is") financial processes and design improved ("to-be") processes that enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure financial system configurations support GAAP/IFRS standards, audit requirements, and internal control compliance.
  • Support the configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of integrations between JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and third-party applications, ensuring reliable data exchange and alignment with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership to drive automation, reporting enhancements, and continuous process improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with SMEs from Finance and other functional areas to review and prioritize system change requests.
  • Collaborate with E1 Developers and other Business Analysts to translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to Finance end-users.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial modules, including: Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, Inventory Costing, Advanced Pricing, Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliation, Intercompany Accounting, Consolidations & Restatements, Batch Processing, Posting, and Error Resolution, UDCs, AAIs, and Financial Integrity Reports, and Financial Data Structures and Chart of Accounts Design
  • Experience with financial audit support and internal controls.
  • Experience supporting multi-company, multi-currency environments.
  • Experience with banking integrations, ACH, positive pay, or tax systems.
  • Experience with EDI financial transactions.
  • Experience supporting integrations between JDE and external systems.
  • Experience participating in ERP upgrades or major enhancements.
