This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical ability, sound judgment, and excellent organizational skills. The work will involve both hands-on execution and oversight of quantitative and qualitative engagement work streams, including reviewing junior staff work, providing actionable feedback, and supporting their overall professional development. Responsibilities

  • Design of economic, statistical, and financial analysis, including modeling of financial data and markets.
  • Lead engagement work streams across intellectual property (i.e., patent, trademark, and copyright, trade secrets) and commercial disputes/damages matters, overseeing both quantitative and qualitative analyses from initial scoping through final delivery.
  • Manage and expand existing client relationships, identify new business development opportunities across intellectual property and commercial disputes/damages matters, and contribute to revenue generation for the firm.
  • Development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports and supporting analyses.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff by setting clear expectations, providing regular and actionable feedback, creating stretch opportunities, and supporting their long-term professional growth.
  • Provide rigorous quality control of junior staff work, ensuring analytical accuracy, clear communication, and consistency while coaching team members on how to strengthen their work product and judgment.
  • Industry research and analysis of large datasets using Excel and/or statistical analysis programs (e.g., SAS, Stata, R).
  • Providing strategic guidance on case theory, analytical approach, and expert presentation of findings across intellectual property and commercial disputes/damages matters.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA with academic focus on quantitative research (Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline). An MS/MBA and/or CPA is highly preferred for this role..
  • Minimum three (3+) years of advisory experience managing commercial disputes, including substantial experience across both intellectual property, survey work, and commercial disputes/damages matters.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to explain, economic, financial, and/or accounting concepts, and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
  • Experience working with large data sets in Excel and/or statistical analysis programs (e.g.,R, Stata, SAS, Python or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude) to improve research, data analysis, content development, and workflow efficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising junior staff, reviewing complex analytical work, providing clear and actionable feedback, and supporting the overall development and advancement of team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategic visions and to implement strategies with a proven track record.
  • Ability to work with different project teams and experts, and ability to maintain flexibility and adaptability to varying approaches.
  • Desire to work within a team environment.
