If you thrive in high-impact environments, excel at leading complex construction operations, and are driven to deliver results at scale, this is a unique opportunity to shape a transformational project.
What You'll DoAs a Construction Director, you'll serve as the senior site authority responsible for overall construction performance, including safety, cost, schedule, quality, and execution risk. • Own construction cost and schedule forecasts, ensuring alignment with field performance
  • Develop and lead recovery strategies when performance deviates from plan
  • Approve strategy for major change orders, claims, and commercial decisions
  • Serve as the primary construction interface to executive leadership and external stakeholders
  • Ensure construction activities support commissioning, startup, and operational readiness
  • Oversee site logistics, material handling, and access strategies
  • Ensure subcontracting strategies and execution plans align with project objectives
  • Drive coordination between field engineering, vendors, and construction teams
  • Establish and enforce project delivery controls, reporting structures, and performance tracking

Requirements

  • 20+ years of construction experience
  • Proven leadership on large-scale industrial projects ($1B+), with responsibility for construction outcomes
  • Experience managing EPC contractors alongside owner-performed construction scopes
  • Strong understanding of construction cost structures, forecasting, and schedule performance
  • Deep knowledge of construction execution strategy, risk management, and delivery frameworks
  • Executive-level communication and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating construction with commissioning and startup activities
  • Experience working in mixed delivery models (EPC and owner-builder)
  • Strong background in construction risk identification and mitigation
  • Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary construction organizations
