DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n)Manager, Risk & Requirements Management in Raritan, NJ, West Chester, PA, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Raynham, MA, Warsaw, IN.

This role serves as atechnology product owner and risk leaderwithin R&D Technology, accountable for translating business and scientific needs into clear, prioritized technology requirements while proactivelyidentifying, assessing, and mitigating risk. The Manager partners closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and IT teams to ensure technology solutions are compliant, scalable, and aligned to DePuy Synthes' product development and innovation roadmap. This role has a meaningful impact onspeedtomarket, quality, and complianceacross R&D digital capabilitiesand reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage theendtoend productbacklogfor assigned R&D technology platforms, ensuring alignment to business priorities and regulatory requirements.

  • Leadrequirementselicitation, analysis, and documentation, partnering with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and IT stakeholders to translate needs into functional and technical requirements.

  • Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize R&D platforms, accelerating product development, improving scientific and engineering insights, and strengthening end to end decision making while enabling scalable, compliant, and efficient R&D operations from discovery through lifecycle management.

  • Establish andmaintainrisk management frameworks, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and monitoring of technology and delivery risks.

  • Driveprioritization decisionsby balancing value, risk, cost, and delivery timelines across multiple initiatives.

  • Ensure adherence toSDLC, quality standards, validation practices, privacy, and security requirementsrelevant to R&D systems.

  • Partner with delivery teams usingAgile and hybrid methodologiesto ensuretimely, highquality solution delivery.

  • Provideclear communication and reportingon roadmap progress, risks, and dependencies to senior stakeholders.

  • Mentor and guide analysts and product team members, fostering strong product ownership and riskaware decision making.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degreerequired(Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field)

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 6-8years of experience intechnology product ownership, business analysis, or IT project/program management, including R&D or regulated environments.

  • Experience translating business needs into system requirements, managing product backlogs, and supporting SDLC and system validation activities.

  • Demonstrated ability toidentify, assess, document, and mitigate technology and delivery risks.

  • Strong stakeholder management, prioritization, and decisionmaking capabilities across crossfunctional teams.

  • Ability to lead without authority, influence outcomes, and coach team members in product and risk best practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executivelevel reporting.

Preferred:

  • Experience supportingR&D, Quality, Regulatory, or clinical systemswithin a medical device or lifesciencesenvironment.

  • Familiarity withAgile,SAFe, or hybrid delivery modelsin enterprise technology organizations.

  • Experience withdatadriven decision making, dashboards, or portfolio reporting.

  • Priorpeopleleadership or matrix team leadership experience.

  • Product Owner, Business Analysis, or Project Management certifications (e.g., CSPO, PMIPBA, PMP) preferred.
