SUMMARY
The Account Manager provides ongoing support and service to commercial property and casualty clients in conjunction with Client Managers. The Account Manager assists with existing clients and new business prospects by performing a variety of tasks. This role is primarily an internally focused position, with some level of client contact. The Account Manager typically handles $900,000 in revenue.
In this role, you will contribute to the team by:
  • Providing quality client service through handling client questions/requests, billing/claim issues, and carrier or administrative problems as part of a client service team
  • Assisting in the renewal process by gathering all information needed, ordering Emod information, sending the client renewal file to clients, attending internal renewal meetings, verifying quotes for accuracy, entering required information into agency management systems, and generating proposal documents
  • Assisting in the solicitation of new business and further development of existing accounts by verifying quotes received for premium, coverage and commission information, and preparing proposals on new and existing accounts
  • Monitoring placement of business with carriers and following up, as necessary
  • Managing policy change requests by sending appropriate information to carriers and clients, setting follow-ups, and confirming accuracy of policy change documents
  • Preparing and sending clients information such as auto ID cards, certificates of insurance, binders etc.
  • Preparing invoices in agency management system and sending to clients
  • Auditing and confirming policies are accurate and resolving any discrepancies
  • Keeping current with carriers and coverage options
  • Informing Risk Managers and Client Managers of major developments, renewal results, deadlines, and processes
  • Maintaining current account and policy data in agency management systems
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Acting as a backup to team personnel as needed
  • Maintaining confidential information.
