Join Our Team – Lead Clinical Informatics Specialist

Location: Cherry County Hospital & Clinic – Valentine, NE 69201Cherry County Hospital & Clinic is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Clinical Informatics Specialist (Lead CIS) to join our team. This leadership role is responsible for guiding the Clinical Informatics team and serving as a key link between healthcare providers and information technology to improve clinical workflows, EHR optimization, and patient care delivery.

Position Highlights
  • Lead and support the Clinical Informatics team in collaboration with the CIO
  • Serve as a primary resource for Electronic Health Record (EHR) operations and optimization
  • Improve clinical workflows and support providers in effective use of healthcare technology
  • Coordinate EHR onboarding, training, go-lives, and downtime support
  • Oversee system configuration, user setup, and application integration within Meditech
  • Provide daily helpdesk support and serve as escalation point for complex issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours needs as required
Qualifications
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Clinical Informatics or healthcare IT experience required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and commitment to patient confidentiality
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Minimum of 3 years of Meditech experience required
  • Clinical Informatics experience within a healthcare system required
  • Advanced education or certifications may be considered equivalent experience
  • Must reside within a 30-minute commute of the faculty.
