Overview
The Freelance Social Media Supervisor is a strategic leader responsible for developing and leading integrated social strategies that drive brand visibility and measurable business results. Cross-discipline experience is preferred with a balance of subject matter expertise in both Influencers and Paid Social media. You will lead the development of audience-first, insight-led social campaigns-blending community engagement, influencer/creator partnerships, and cultural moments with precision-targeted paid media execution.
This role has an immediate start date, with an end date of December 18, 2026.
Responsibilities
  • IntegratedStrategy&Planning
    • Develop and present comprehensive social media strategies (Influencer and Paid) that align with business, marketing, audience, and community objectives.
    • Lead the development of media plans (Paid, Influencer and both) to strategically meet specific campaign goals.
    • Translate brand and performance objectives into media planning frameworks and tactical recommendations.
    • Identify emerging social trends and platform capabilities, translating them into actionable, brand-right opportunities.
    • Collaborate with additional teams to develop platform-native content strategies and briefs.

• Campaign Execution & Management
    • Lead end-to-end influencer, creator, and ambassador programs, including sourcing, vetting, approvals, execution, optimization, and reporting.
    • Oversee campaign architecture, including platform mix, flighting, budget allocation, and audience targeting.
    • Ensure flawless execution by managing briefing, timelines, resources, and cross-functional workflows.
    • Supervise the setup and documentation of campaigns, ensuring accuracy in media tools, IOs, and ad-tech implementation (tagging, brand safety, etc.).
    • Maintain partnerships with key social media platforms and external agency partners

• Client Management & Leadership
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, presenting strategies, campaign updates, performance learnings, and tactical POVs.
    • Manage expectations, provide timely communication, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
    • Supervise and mentor Social Media Planners, Coordinators, and Assistants, fostering career development and workload management.
    • Provide thought leadership on social media best practices, industry research, and performance optimization.

• Performance & Optimization
    • Track campaign performance against KPIs, conducting post-campaign analyses to turn data into future strategy opportunities.
    • Analyze Paid and Influencer data to identify trends, optimize performance, and troubleshoot campaign discrepancies.
    • Manage campaign budgets, billing, and invoicing reconciliation.
    • Ensure adherence to platform best practices, FTC guidelines, and brand safety standards.

Qualifications
  • Experience:4-5 years in media planning, integrated strategy, or social media management (Agency experience highly preferred).
  • DualExpertisePreferred:Strong, demonstrated understanding of both Influencer strategy (influencers, content strategy) and Paid social (ad products, targeting, buying tools, performance marketing).
  • PlatformProficiency:In-depth knowledge of major social platforms, their ecosystems, ad units, and emerging media trends.
  • AnalyticalSkills:Ability to translate raw data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • TechnicalLiteracy:Proficiency with media tools and systems such as:
    • Planning/Ad Tech: Social Platform Ad Managers, Prisma, GCM/Campaign Manager 360, Sprinklr, Nielsen, IAS, MediaTools, etc.
    • Research: MRI, Comscore, Commspoint, NMI, or similar tools.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experienced in writing and presenting strategic, executive-level documents.
  • SoftSkills:Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external teams (Creative, PR, Account, Analytics, Clients), manage complex projects, and adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • IndustryFocus: Automotive or retail media experience is highly desirable.

Compensation Range: USD $36.08 - USD $55.30/Hourly. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
