Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) – 7 on 7 off – Hospice

Schedule: Full-time | 64 hours/pay period | 7 Days On 7 Days Off | 4:30 pm – 8:00 am

Location: Must be available to provide services in our Fergus Falls and Wadena, MN territories.

Pay Range: $35.00 - $41.00/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location. This position also includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and guaranteed pay for 64 hours per pay period.

What you'll do as a Registered Nurse (RN) with Hospice:

Deliver Compassionate Clinical Care

  • Conduct skilled assessments and provide routine, PRN, admission, discharge, and death visits. Deliver hospice care that honors everyone's physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs.

Provide Communication and Support

  • Partner with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow a comprehensive care plan. Educate families on what to expect, pain management, and comfort measures.

Lead with Accountability

  • Manage your caseload independently, prioritize calls and visits with urgency, and ensure documentation is completed accurately and promptly, often at the point of care.

Actively Collaborate

  • Serve as a key member of the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG), maintaining strong communication with physicians, social workers, aides, chaplains, and referral sources.

Support the Whole Person

  • Provide clinical insight and emotional support to families before and after the patient's death, participating in bereavement planning as needed.

  • Valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle.

  • Willingness to travel to client homes and respond to patient needs during on-call hours.
  • Ability to pass state mandated background checks.
  • Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with clients, staff, and families.
