Job description

The YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown is looking for part-time Lifeguards to join our fun, energetic, and mission-driven aquatics team. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain leadership experience, build their resume, and contribute to a safer, healthier community. Don't have a certification yet? No problem - we offer training for qualified candidates with possible job offer available upon certification completion! Flexible shifts offered throughout the week to include early mornings, daytimes, evenings, weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities:

  • Monitor pool area to ensure a safe and positive environment for all swimmers
  • Enforce all pool rules and safety procedures
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and perform water rescues as needed
  • Complete safety checks and maintain accurate incident reports
  • Arrive on time and in proper uniform for every scheduled shift
  • Attend required staff trainings and in-service sessions
  • Find and report shift coverage in case of absence
Qualifications:
  • Certified Lifeguard
  • Certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen
  • Ability to stay alert and act calmly in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Must meet physical requirements of lifeguarding (swimming, endurance, etc.)
