Job Overview

As a Training Specialist for our Histology team at the Laval location, you will coordinate and participates in the training of the technical staff, ensure that the training records are initiated and kept up to date and that the techniques are carried out in accordance with quality standards set.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Evaluates the training required for each technician and train the technical staff to meet quality and quantity standards;
  • Manages the material needed for training;
  • Participates in the development of new procedures and assist and/or prepare SOP’s;
  • Remain informed of all legislation and developments related to job through self-education and external training;
  • Prepares and update training records;
  • Participates in the evaluation process of the technical staff;
  • Performs method development and validation studies under the supervision of a Research Associate and /or a Pathologist;
  • Contributes to the elaboration of the training programs.
Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

  • Minimum of a College diploma in Biology or any other disciplines related to Science;
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Histology Technician;
  • Be a reference, an example and a leader for the technical staff;
  • Good observation skills;
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence through strong interpersonal skills and effective collaboration.

Role Specific Information:

 

  • Location: 445 Boul. Armand-Frappier, Laval, QC, H7V 4B3;
  • Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station;
  • Salary: Starting at $27.25/hr;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday daytime. Depending on the business needs, you may have to do overtime and/or weekends;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
