Operation Supervisor

Full-Time

Compensation DOE: Up to $75K + Overtime

Experienced and hands-on Paint Operation Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Rushville, IN. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day paint line operations, ensure safe, efficient production while maintaining high-quality output. You will lead team members on the floor, coordinate manpower, minimize downtime, and support critical E-Coat processes in a fast-paced, union manufacturing environment.

Operation Supervisor Responsibilities for Paint Applications:
  • Promote and enforce a safety-first culture, ensuring all team members follow PPE and safety standards
  • Oversee daily paint line operations to meet production schedules and shipping requirements
  • Monitor and maintain E-Coat processes, including dip tank conditions and paint bag filter changes
  • Maintain proper chemical balance and oversight of the paint dip system
  • Coordinate manpower utilization, including break relief and utility personnel support
  • Manage equipment downtime and coordinate repairs with the Maintenance Department
  • Implement and reinforce standardized work instructions, job cards, and safety procedures
  • Manage overtime and staffing levels based on production demands and model requirements
  • Communicate shift-to-shift updates, issues, and production changes with supervisors and leadership
  • Audit daily production numbers and quality concerns, reporting findings to Quality
  • Engineering and Product Control
  • Maintain strong working relationships with union personnel in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement
  • Address employee performance and personnel issues in coordination with Human Resources
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs
Paint Line Supervisor Qualifications for Paint Applications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage production priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications for Paint Applications:
  • Experience in E-Coat, wet paint, powder coat, or industrial finishing environments
  • Prior experience working in a unionized manufacturing facility
  • Strong understanding of chemical-based coating systems and dip tank operations
  • Experience coordinating with maintenance and quality teams in a production setting
