Job Summary:
Fracht Group - North America is seeking a detail-oriented IT Application Specialist with expertise in U.S. customs brokerage and CargoWise management. The role involves leading projects, supporting new feature rollouts, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations while providing end-user support and training.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, frameworks, and documentation standards.
• Support the rollout of new features, including user training and post-launch support.
• Analyze project data, assess risks, and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with operational needs.
• Manage and maintain CargoWise workflows and brokerage module configurations for U.S. customs compliance.
• Create, schedule, and maintain CW reports to support visibility and regulatory tracking.
• Develop and improve training materials for CW users with a focus on brokerage operations.
• Develop, update, and deliver training materials, SOPs, and best practices for CargoWise users, with a strong focus on brokerage, forwarding, and customs clearance processes.
• Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for CargoWise applications, escalating as needed.
• Ensure data integrity within CargoWise through regular audits, validations, and correction processes.
• Partner with IT departments to test, validate, and implement system upgrades, patches, and integrations with external systems (ODQ, Track & Trace, etc.).
• Monitor EDI/API integrations with carriers, customs, and third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow and error resolution.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, supporting global initiatives and ensuring U.S. compliance standards are embedded in system design.
• Stay current on changes in U.S. customs regulations, CargoWise enhancements, and industry best practices, advising leadership on necessary system and process adjustments.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for CargoWise, providing consulting support to branches and departments on system usage and optimization.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proven experience as a CargoWise Application Specialist, Super User, or similar role within freight forwarding or logistics.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs brokerage processes and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in CargoWise configuration, including workflows, document templates, tariffs, autorating, and event management.
• Ability to analyze and translate business needs into system requirements and solutions.
• Project management, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical user guidance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with reporting tools in CargoWise (eDocs, Report Scheduler, BI tools).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
Preferred:
• Bilingual, Spanish - preferred skill.
