We are representing an industry leading FORTUNE 500 consumer products/manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a senior level Purchasing Manager due to a recently announced promotion. This organization was recently named as a TOP PLACES TO WORK predicated on benefits, compensation, and employee satisfaction. The Senior Purchasing Manager will report directly to the North American Director of Purchasing who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!



POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Candidate will report to the company NA Director of Purchasing while managing (4) direct report
  • Candidate will assume functional ownership over department responsible for $150M annual spend
  • Complete financial/budgetary ownership of department
  • Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals
  • Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendor
  • Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, and reliability
  • Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues
  • Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talent
  • Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing

  • Bachelor's Degree is required for consideration
