While both Caviar Delivery Drivers and Uber Eats Delivery Drivers deliver food via gig platforms, Caviar drivers typically handle high-end restaurant orders, often requiring specific credentials and offering a more upscale work environment. Uber Eats drivers generally deliver a broader range of restaurant types across various price points. The choice depends on your preferred work environment and the type of food delivery experience you seek.

As a Caviar Delivery Driver, your day generally involves accepting delivery requests through the app, picking up orders from partner restaurants, and delivering them promptly to customers. The role offers significant flexibility since you can choose your own hours and work as much or as little as you prefer, making it suitable for those seeking part-time or supplemental income. However, peak demand times—such as lunch and dinner—tend to offer more opportunities for deliveries and higher earnings. You’ll also need to navigate traffic and manage multiple orders at times, so good organizational skills are helpful.

Job description

The Caviar Collective is a sister-founded, female-owned purveyor of fine caviar and roe, supplying restaurants, chefs, and retail customers nationwide. We're looking for a dynamic, people-oriented Fulfillment Associate & Delivery Driver to join our Berkeley team — someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys building relationships, and is excited to grow with a brand that's bringing one of the world's most special ingredients to the table.

This role is the face of The Caviar Collective in the field. You'll have direct contact with our chefs and customers — your professionalism, warmth, and product knowledge will directly shape those relationships. Beyond deliveries, you'll work alongside our Fulfillment Manager on packing, shipping, and day-to-day operations.

What you'll do
  • Plan and execute efficient delivery routes across the East Bay and San Francisco using ShipDay, providing white-glove service to chefs, hospitality partners, and private clients.
  • Serve as a key touchpoint with our chef and restaurant partners — relay feedback, build trust, and represent the brand with care and enthusiasm.
  • Support the Fulfillment Manager with packing orders, building shipping boxes, printing labels via ShipStation, and maintaining an organized shipping area.
  • Become a product expert — learn shelf life, storage requirements, and ordering timelines to confidently answer customer questions.
  • Assist with perishable and non-perishable inventory tracking, and help maintain the company van both mechanically and aesthetically.
  • Pitch in on occasional airport pickups and other operational tasks as the team needs — we're a small team, and flexibility is valued.
Who you are
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented — you take pride in handling high-value, perishable products with care.
  • A strong communicator who represents our brand well with chefs and customers and relays important information back to the team.
  • Proactive and adaptable — you stay calm under pressure, solve problems independently, and aren't afraid to ask for help when needed.
  • Passionate about food, hospitality, or luxury goods — or genuinely curious to learn. Experience in hospitality is a plus but not required.
  • Excited to grow with a small, ambitious team — we'll train the right person and create opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and at least 3 consecutive years of driving experience
  • Comfortable navigating routes throughout the East Bay and San Francisco
  • Available Monday through Saturday; schedule may vary based on delivery needs
  • Consent to DMV and background check
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand/remain active for up to 8 hours
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
