Job Summary
The Senior Director, Partnerships will lead the development and execution of high-value, multi-channel partnership strategies that drive strategic revenue growth for Fortune Media. Leveraging Fortune's prestigious brand, influential B2B audience, iconic lists and rankings, premium content, and live events portfolio, this leader will architect complex, integrated solutions for Fortune 500 companies and enterprise brands.
This role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and closing seven-figure partnership deals; building long-term relationships with C-suite executives and senior marketing leaders; and delivering measurable ROI across digital advertising, branded content, experiential marketing, list integrations, and content licensing. The ideal candidate combines consultative sales expertise, deep knowledge of the B2B media landscape, and a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in complex, solution-based environments.
Core Responsibilities
  • Revenue Generation & Pipeline Leadership: Own and exceed annual revenue targets of $2-5M+ through new business development and strategic account growth. Build and manage a robust enterprise pipeline across key verticals.

  • Integrated Partnership Strategy: Architect customized, multi-product partnership packages spanning digital advertising, newsletters, print, branded content, live events, list & rankings integrations, content syndication, and data licensing.

  • Enterprise Sales Execution: Lead complex consultative sales processes from prospecting through negotiation and close. Develop compelling proposals aligned to client business objectives and demonstrate clear ROI.

  • C-Suite Relationship Development: Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with CMOs, senior marketing executives, agency principals, and brand leaders. Serve as a strategic advisor to key accounts.

  • Event & Experiential Partnerships: Partner closely with the Fortune Live Media team to develop and sell integrated, multi-platform campaigns that combine event sponsorships, digital media, branded content, and executive engagement opportunities, delivering cohesive solutions across Fortune's full ecosystem.

  • Content & Brand Solutions: Collaborate with Editorial and Creative teams to deliver premium branded content and integrated storytelling solutions while upholding Fortune's brand integrity.

  • Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on B2B media, digital advertising, experiential marketing, and partnership trends.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product, Editorial, Events, and Operations to ensure seamless campaign execution and client satisfaction.

  • Account Growth & Retention: Monitor campaign performance, deliver insights and optimization recommendations, and conduct business reviews to uncover growth opportunities.

  • Team Leadership & Sales Excellence: Mentor junior team members and contribute to the evolution of sales processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in media sales, partnership development, or business development with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.

  • 5+ years selling at the senior/director level to enterprise clients and Fortune 1000 companies.

  • Demonstrated success closing complex, high-value deals ($2-$5M+) within long sales cycles.

  • Deep expertise in multi-channel media sales, including digital advertising, branded content, events, sponsorships, and/or content licensing.

  • Strong understanding of the B2B media landscape, media measurement, and ROI frameworks.

  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage C-suite executives.

  • Financial acumen, including understanding of margins, sponsorship valuation, and partnership economics.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce), sales-enablement tools, and data-driven sales strategies.

  • Proven ability to operate cross-functionally and manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong Relationships with senior client direct and agency contacts in the following industries: Energy, Defense/Aerospace, Technology, Financial Services, Professional Services, Lifestyle (Luxury Travel, Apparel, Spirits, etc)

  • Experience at tier-one business media brands (e.g., Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Financial Times, Time, The Economist, The Information etc. as an example) or leading global technology companies (e.g., Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Salesforce etc. as an example).

  • Track record selling to CMOs and senior marketing leaders at Fortune 500 companies.

  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms and data-driven marketing solutions

Total Compensation: Up to $300,000/Annum
Base Salary Range: $180,000-200,000 Total On-Target Earnings (OTE): 50% of the base
