SUMMARY:
This is a year-round, part-time internship. Intern will support Research Scientists with the development of experimental formulations on the bench and pilot scale. Intern will gain hands-on work experience in microbial biopesticide formulation and analytical techniques. Start date for internship is immediately.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
โ€ข Process formulations using overhead mixing, spray drying, extrusion, and fluidized bed drying.
โ€ข Conduct compatibility, stability, and physical properties testing on experimental formulations.
โ€ข Plan and execute experimental work for assigned mini projects.
โ€ข Document and maintain legible, accurate, and complete laboratory records.
โ€ข Maintain laboratory cleanliness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
โ€ข Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
โ€ข Wet lab and analytical equipment experience preferred but not required.
โ€ข Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
โ€ข Good verbal and written communication skills.
โ€ข High attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn, and strong work ethic.
โ€ข Ability to lift 40 lb.
