Job Summary:
As a Cook room associate at Carolina CoPacking, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food products in a large-scale manufacturing setting. Your primary duty will be to ensure that all food products are cooked to perfection and meet our company's high quality standards. This is a full-time position at our facility located in Henderson, North Carolina. It is an individual contributor role working as part of a team of skilled professionals. The compensation for this position is $17 per hour, paid weekly.
Compensation & Benefits:
In addition to the competitive rate range of $17-$20 per hour, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of food products according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain cooking equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Monitor and record cooking temperatures and times to ensure food safety and quality.
- Label and store cooked food products in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with inventory and stock management in the cook room.
- Adhere to production schedules and meet all deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Three years cook and or food service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a food production or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Able to read and follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
