Job description

About the company
Kodex revolutionizes how organizations handle sensitive subpoenas and data requests from law enforcement and government agencies. Founded by a former FBI agent and backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Peak XV and Thiel Capital, Kodex has become the industry standard for secure data exchange. Our platform supports over 15,000 government agencies in 190 countries and is trusted by industry leaders like Coinbase, Stripe, and AT&T.
By transforming a traditionally complex and manual process into a streamlined digital workflow, Kodex helps organizations strengthen compliance, enhance security, and reduce operational costs by millions each year. We bridge the gap between companies and authorized requestors, ensuring that sensitive data is handled with uncompromising security, transparency, and efficiency.
About the Role
We're bringing on our first dedicated Product Marketing Manager to own the enterprise story end-to-end - positioning, launches, sales enablement, and content for a multi-audience technical buyer (developers, legal, IT, and security teams). You'll report to John Weeke (Marketing lead) and partner closely with product, revenue, and marketing peers.
This role is built for a hungry, mid-career PMM (3-5 years of experience) who has owned things at previous companies and is ready to step up into more ownership. You're a full-stack storyteller - you can carry a strategy from conception to final deliverable without handing off between people. You're AI-native in your day-to-day workflow - Claude, ChatGPT, and similar tools are woven into how you research, draft, iterate, and ship.
What You'll Do
  • Own product launches end-to-end: framing, positioning, messaging, and shippable deliverables
  • Build and ship sales enablement - decks, one-pagers, battle cards, training
  • Create content for a technical audience (developers, IT, legal, security teams)
  • Partner with product on positioning and roadmap input from market feedback
  • Own competitive intelligence and turn it into GTM-ready assets
  • Establish the pattern of full-stack PMM ownership as we scale the marketing team

Who You Are
  • 3-5 years of full-time Product Marketing at a B2B SaaS company (enterprise sales motion - not consumer or pure self-serve)
  • Full-stack storyteller: strategy to messaging to final deliverable, all in one owner
  • AI-native in your day-to-day workflow - you use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar throughout research, drafting, competitive analysis, iteration
  • Startup / scrappy tenure of at least 12 months (not BigCo-only)
  • Ships fast without waiting for permission; iterates in flight

Bonus Points
  • Experience marketing to developers at a dev-tools or API-first SaaS (GitHub, Vercel, Linear, Notion, Stripe, and similar)
  • Product management background that transitioned into PMM (or brand / content background that broadened into PMM)
  • Legal tech, compliance, or reg-tech domain - adjacent to what Kodex does
  • Multi-audience storytelling: developer + legal + IT buyer

Benefits
  • Remote-first within the U.S.
  • Annual offsites in exciting locations. Past trips include Seattle, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco
  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity
  • Unlimited PTO + 14 company holidays
  • 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, with a flexible return-to-work policy
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Dynamic Environment: Work on impactful, high-priority matters with opportunities for professional growth.

Equal Employment Opportunities at the Company
Kodex is committed to hiring talented and qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds for all of its tech, non-tech, and leadership roles. Kodex believes that the gathering and celebration of unique backgrounds, qualities, and cultures enriches the workplace.
