Job description

Mobile Forensics Analyst Location- Woodbridge, Va Clearance- Secret/Top Secret This program requires US Citizenship Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Mobile Forensic Analyst with proven hands-on experience in mobile device forensics, tool support, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have at least one forensic tool certification (e.g., Cellebrite, Magnet, XRY) and at least one industry-recognized certification (e.g., GCFA, CCE, CFCE, EnCE). The role requires proficiency in performing forensic extractions and analysis, writing standard operating procedures (SOPs), providing virtual tool support, and conducting basic hardware repairs for data acquisition purposes. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct forensic acquisition and analysis of mobile devices (iOS, Android, etc.) in accordance with legal and organizational standards. * Operate and support multiple mobile forensic tools (e.g., Cellebrite UFED/Physical Analyzer, Oxygen, Magnet AXIOM, MSAB XRY). * Provide remote and virtual support to field teams on proper usage of forensic tools and troubleshooting during acquisitions. * Draft, review, and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for forensic processes and tool usage. The documentation portion of this position is more creating guidance documents on a specific process as it comes up or disseminating information from vendors to ensure awareness and less on SOPs. * Maintain proper chain of custody and documentation throughout all forensic activities. * Collaborate with legal, investigative, and technical teams to support case-related needs. * Ensure compliance with best practices, legal requirements, and industry standards for digital forensics. * Prepare and provide training (remote or in person) on mobile forensics techniques, tools, or topics * Provide logistical support (shipping/receiving of equipment) of mobile forensic equipment. * Maintain tool usage statistics to determine proper deployment and purchasing needs. * Perform minor repairs to mobile devices (e.g., battery replacement, screen replacement, cable/jig setup, logic board work) to enable successful data extraction. (Preferred Skill) Required Qualifications: * Minimum of one forensic tool certification , such as: * Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO) or Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA) * Magnet Certified Forensics Examiner (MCFE) * XRY Certification (XAM or XRY) * Minimum of one forensic or cybersecurity industry certification , such as: * GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) * Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) * Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) * EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) * 6+ years of experience in digital/mobile forensics or related investigative fields.
