Location: Remote, with regional travel up to 50%ย 

Compensation

Base Salary: $110,000 - $135,000

Discretionary Bonus Eligibility Target: 30%

Total Target Cash Compensation: $143,000-$175,500ย 

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager - Municipal is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive growth throughout the assigned municipal market territory. This role focuses on building strong relationships with consulting engineers, manufacturers' representatives, contractors, municipalities, and end users while identifying new business opportunities and expanding market share.

The ideal candidate is a proven sales professional with deep municipal industry experience, strong technical knowledge of pumping systems, and a passion for building lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Identify and pursue new municipal business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Partner with manufacturers' representatives to increase product specification and market penetration.
  • Conduct joint customer visits and provide technical sales support throughout the sales process.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to consulting engineers, contractors, distributors, and end users.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure proper product application and successful installations.
  • Support equipment startup and commissioning in collaboration with Field Service when required.
  • Represent Trillium Flow Technologies at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
  • Forecast regional sales performance and maintain accurate sales activity records.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends while developing strategies to maintain market leadership.
  • Support new product introductions through customer feedback, field testing, product training, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Quality teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and ISO 9001/14001 standards.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales and/or marketing experience within the municipal market.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Regional or District Sales Manager supporting municipal customers.
  • Demonstrated success selling capital equipment through manufacturers' representative networks.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel.
Preferred
  • Experience with:
    • Vertical Turbine Pumps
    • Solids Handling Pumps
    • Grit Removal Equipment
  • Strong technical aptitude with industrial pumping systems.
  • Experience working with consulting engineers and municipal infrastructure projects.

Work Environment
