JOB SUMMARY
Enhance the education of Gaylord Middle School students by teaching them the values of good sportsmanship, team play, and fair competition.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  1. Must possess high school diploma/equivalent.
  2. Must possess ability to encourage middle school students and teach the fundamentals and strategy of football with understanding and patience.
  3. Must possess ability to work effectively with parents and staff members.
  4. Must possess knowledge of and experience with football rules.
  5. Must possess excellent organizational skills and leadership ability.
  6. Previous coaching experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL
DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform all duties assigned by Gaylord Middle School Administration.
  • Enforce rules and regulations concerning conditioning of players and their health and safety.
  • Develop respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior, language and conduct.
  • Provide proper supervision in all situations.
  • Maintain effective individual and team discipline and control.
  • Model behaviors that reflect the values of good sportsmanship, fair competition and ethical behavior.
  • Develop rapport with coaching staff, teachers, administrators and parents.
  • Conduct/participate in necessary meetings and coaching clinics to improve coaching performance.
  • Promote all sports in the athletic program.

WAGE
$1,800 per full season
