Position Title: Concessions Stand Lead @ Camp Randall Stadium & Kohl Center Arena

Pay Range: $17.50 to $18.50 + tips!

Job Summary

Summary: Join our team as a Concession Stand Lead and play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences at UW–Madison Badger sporting events with Levy. In this leadership position, you will oversee day-to-day concession stand operations while supervising and supporting a team of volunteers. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and enjoys leading teams during major sporting events. Anticipated start date in June. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Supervise, train, and support volunteer group members, assigning tasks based on strengths and operational needs.
    Foster teamwork, motivation, and accountability to ensure efficient stand operations.
  • Stand Operations Management: Oversee all concession stand operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with company and venue guidelines.
    Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges during events.
  • Organization & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized concession stand at all times.
    Ensure products are properly stocked, displayed, and merchandised.
  • Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and Responsible Alcohol Service standards.
    Promote a safe working environment for team members and guests.
  • Inventory & Product Management: Monitor inventory levels throughout events and coordinate timely restocking of products.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with supervisors regarding staffing needs, inventory issues, or operational concerns.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support successful event operations.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of one year of leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Food Service Experience: Previous food service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older (required for alcohol service).
  • Certifications: Willingness to complete Responsible Alcohol Service Certification & Food Handler's ServSafe Certification.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 20–45 pounds and remain active for the duration of events.
  • Availability: Must be available to work all UW–Madison football home games and the majority of sporting events at the Kohl Center Arena.
